About the Partnership

Lydiard Park Academy (the partnership’s lead school) is an oversubscribed 11-18 academy with a high Ofsted rating and an excellent reputation within the Swindon area. The academy is housed in purpose built facilities on an attractive site bordering Lydiard Park in West Swindon. The academy includes recently added sixth form facilities and a small Special Resource Provision for pupils with autistic spectrum condition (ASC).

Abbey Park School is an 11-16 school which has recently become a converter academy. The school enjoys excellent facilities in recently-constructed, purpose-built accommodation situated in Redhouse, North Swindon. It shares a campus with three other schools, one of which is our primary partner (Red Oaks Primary School). Lydiard Park Academy, Abbey Park School and Red Oaks Primary School and Orchid Vale Primary School are part of the growing/developing Park Academies Trust which has an excellent professional development programme for staff, including aspects suitable for trainee teachers.

Commonweal School is an 11-18 academy with a recently added sixth form which is housed in new purpose built accommodation. It has a good Ofsted rating and a long-standing reputation within Swindon as a school with consistently high standards. It is situated in Old Town, Swindon and provision at the school also includes a small Special Resource Provision for physically impaired children.

Highworth Warneford School is an 11-16 academy situated in the pleasant market town of Highworth, just a few miles to the north-east of Swindon. The school has a proud tradition of academic excellence coupled with outstanding pastoral care to ensure each pupil is recognised as an individual within the school community and given the chance to thrive. The school is housed in purpose built accommodation and is a popular choice with families from Highworth, surrounding villages and the north-east side of Swindon itself.

St Joseph’s Catholic College is an 11-16 Catholic school with a good OFSTED rating. As a Catholic College they take the education of the whole person very seriously and encourage young people to develop academically, physically and spiritually in a nurturing environment. St Joseph’s has a central Swindon location.
